Twice is Nice!! 3 Reasons to have bi-annual dental visits

According to the American Dental Association nearly half of the adults in America over 30 suffer from some form of gum disease and nearly one in every four children under the age of five already have cavities. The two most prevalent dental pathologies – tooth decay and gum disease – are almost entirely preventable. Bi-annual dental visits give the dentist an opportunity to detect early warning signs for some other serious health problems.

  1. Gingivitis – Gingivitis will manifest itself as loose, infected and bleeding gums and could lead to a heart attack or stroke.
  2. Pregnant moms with gingivitis have a 3%-5% chance of having a premature baby.
  3. Western Reserve University has developed a case study showing a correlation between losing your teeth and failing kidneys.

Bi-annual dental check-ups can prevent or eliminate Gum Disease, Cavities, Loosening Teeth, Bad Breath, Abscesses, Oral Cancer, Mouth Sores and signs of TMJ (TemporoMandibular Joint dysfunction).

Preventing tooth decay and gum disease is always better than treating associated problems, which could be far more painful and costly.

Maintain a healthy balanced diet, brush twice daily, floss and remember to visit your dentist twice yearly to avoid being a dental statistic.
